Deepak Thettu - (Guitar)
In comparison to most musicains who get their start at an early age, Deepak found his passion for muisc and the guitar at the "elderly" age of twenty through a simple desire to hang out with friends, most of whom were musicians. SInce he first picked up his guitar he hasn't put it down. He has become a serious student, teacher, writer and performer in the art of music.
As a student Deepak has studied under the tutelage of world reknown jazz guitarist and international recording artist Norman Brown.
As a song writer Deepak authored and performed a featured song on jazz saxophonist, Jimmie Highsmith's debut cd release. The song 'Just Chillin' has been broadcast on radio stations throughout the jazz nation.
Deepak teaches music and has a growing list of students and prodiges. He is well respected and known among his peers for his charting skills. He is also an educator in the public school system, where he often integrates his musical knowledge, skils and associations to bring free jazz concerts to the youth.
Deepak says "every soul needs music whether they know it or not, so if they can't come to the music, let's bring the music to them." |
